Delete your Gridly account
This page was last updated on 30 October 2026.
You can delete your account for the Gridly app (by Gridly Energy Solutions B.V.) at any time. This page explains how, and which data is deleted or kept.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Gridly app and sign in.
- Go to Settings and tap Profile & security.
- Tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
If you are the only owner of a household, the app asks you to make another member owner first, so the household is not left without an owner.
Delete your account without the app
If you can no longer use the app, send an email to privacy@gridly.energy from the email address of your account and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We handle your request within one month.
Data that is deleted
- your account and login details (name, email address and password);
- your memberships of households and the permissions you had in them;
- your personal app settings and notifications;
- links with device manufacturers or energy suppliers that you set up with your account.
Data that is kept
- Household data: the household itself, its devices, energy measurements, schedules and settings belong to the household, not to you. They stay available to the other members of the household and to its installer. Changes you made in a household are kept without your name.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 30 days, until they are overwritten in the regular backup cycle.
- Legal obligations: we keep data we are required to keep by law (for example under tax or commercial law) for as long as the law requires.
Read our privacy notice for more about how we process personal data.
